Layer displays information about racial disparity of poverty using data from the 2010-2014 American Community Survey (ACS). The Index of Disparity (ID) is used to show the magnitude of variation in indicator percentages across population groups. In this case, the index measures the difference in the percentage of the households receiving SNAP benefits across four racial and ethnic groups.

The Area Deprivation Index has been publically released! The ADI map displays rankings of neighborhoods by socioeconomic status disadvantage in a region of interest (e.g. at the state or national level). It includes factors for the theoretical domains of income, education, employment, and housing quality. It can be used to inform health delivery and policy, especially for the most disadvantaged neighborhood groups.

This map layer displays the change (+/-) in Area Deprivation Index (ADI) scores between the 2013 and 2015 datasets. It can be used to inform health delivery and policy, especially for the most disadvantaged neighborhood groups. The 2015 ADI (v2.0) was constructed using the 2011-2015 5-year estimates from the US Census’ American Community Survey. The methods are identical to the 2013 ADI construction.
